TOM ARTHUR MSP MEETS WITH CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT MURRAY

Renfrewshire South’s MSP Tom Arthur met with Chief Superintendent Alan Murray, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde’s new Divisional Commander, on 15 July to welcome him to the Renfrewshire area and discuss local policing.

Commenting after the meeting, Tom Arthur MSP said:

“It was great to meet with Chief Superintendent Murray on Monday and welcome him to his new post in Renfrewshire.

“We were able to have a very interesting and helpful discussion around wide range of policing matters in my constituency of Renfrewshire South and I am very much looking forward to liaising closely with him going forward.”

Chief Supt Murray added:

“I consider it crucial that Police Scotland and elected representatives for the communities we serve work together, to ensure that the policing services we deliver are appropriate to local areas.

“I have been encouraged by the support I have received thus far from Mr Arthur and very much look forward to developing that positive relationship in the future.”
