Renfrewshire South MSP Tom Arthur is hosting an Afternoon Tea at his constituency office in Johnstone on Friday 2 August to raise money for Breast Cancer Care to fund research and support for people affected by breast cancer.

Mr Arthur is encouraging people to come along and show their support for the charity. He commented:

“I am very much looking forward to holding an Afternoon Tea as it’s a great opportunity to bring together people from the local community while also raising money for Breast Cancer Care.

“Over 4,700 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in Scotland each year and Breast Cancer Care carries out life-changing work for those affected. This event will help give something back.

“I’d be delighted to welcome my constituents to join me for some delicious cakes and sandwiches in aid of this great cause on Friday 2 August.”

Georgie Gibbons, Afternoon Tea Manager Breast Cancer Care, added:

“We’re so grateful to everyone who holds an Afternoon Tea in aid of Breast Cancer Care this summer. The money raised will fund pioneering research and life-changing support and care for the 691,000 people living with breast cancer in the UK today.”

Mr Arthur’s Afternoon Tea is being held at 49 High Street, Johnstone, PA5 8AJ on Friday 2 August between 1-3pm, locals are welcome to drop by.
