Tom Arthur, SNP MSP for Renfrewshire South, recently visited local beauty salon Boutique 71 to meet with owners Ali and Beth Davies, following their recent ‘Best Nail Salon’ award at the Scottish Business Awards 2022. Tom had reached out to offer his congratulations for the business, based on Lochwinnoch’s High Street, after reading of their success and was keen to meet with them in person.
Commenting after the visit, Tom said:
“It is great to see another local business commended at a national level. The past few years have been a hard slog for small businesses everywhere, but particularly those operating from our towns and villages whose High Streets have seen a significant drop in footfall both during and after the pandemic.
“I was thoroughly impressed by Ali and Beth’s passion for providing a local service to the people of Lochwinnoch and beyond. They are a true inspiration to would-be entrepreneurs in the area and a shining example of what can be achieved with hard work, determination and some top-rate customer service.
“I have no doubt that it won’t be long until this multi award winning enterprise has some more trophies to add to their collection.”
