SCOTLAND REMAINS TOP PLACE FOR INVESTMENT
The SNP Scottish Government has unveiled new support for start-up firms in Renfrewshire South.
SNP MSP Tom Arthur has welcomed the announcement from the Deputy First Minister that £5 million pounds is being invested to grow and nurture high-growth businesses. This package includes funding to develop pre-start up support and increased investment in Scottish EDGE, the business funding competition.
Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes announced these measures to ensure that “innovation is at the very heart of our economy.”
This package comes as figures show that Scotland once again attracted the highest number of UK financial services foreign direct investment (FDI) projects outside of London – highlighting that Scotland continues to be an attractive destination for economic investment.

“This investment package from the SNP Government is an important step that will increases opportunities and help develop start-up networks across Renfrewshire South.
