Tom Arthur MSP and Mhairi Black MP will be hosting a Jobs Fair in Johnstone Town Hall on Friday 19th January from 10.30am – 12.30pm.

The event has been organised along with the DWP and Jobcentre staff to allow people to speak to employers and partner agencies, and it is expected that over 500 positions will be available for application on the day.

Speaking in advance of the event, Tom Arthur commented,

“This event is a chance for people to find out more about the opportunities that are available locally, and talk to employers in industries that they are interested in.

“I hope that this will be a positive step for those looking for a new job, or to start a new career.”

Mhairi Black added,

“I am sure that this will be a successful event, with so many jobs available on the day.

“Staff from the DWP and Jobcentre locally have worked extremely hard to contact employers and ensure help is available to people who want it.

“I look forward to seeing as many people as possible attend and take this chance to look at employment opportunities and take up the careers they want.”
