Tom Arthur, SNP MSP for Renfrewshire South, met with St Luke’s Head Teacher Christine Downie following the school’s outstanding inspection report.

Tom wrote to the school following the inspection and was delighted to be invited along to offer his congratulations in person and meet with pupils to listen to their views on the school, its achievements and the importance of the school community.

Speaking following the visit Tom commented,

“It’s always a real pleasure to celebrate successes here in Renfrewshire South and I was delighted to meet with again Ms Downie to thank her for her strong leadership.

“It is a testament to the hard work of herself and the whole school team that Education Scotland saw fit to write such a glowing inspection report.

“The pupils I met were a reflection of the school ethos and were keen to share their experiences and pride in what St Luke’s has achieved.

“I look forward to the schools many successes that will no doubt come from such a devoted and nurturing environment.
